The beginning of the year seemed to hold promise in terms of hobby activities, but so far, its been butkus! Between work and family, I've gotten nothing done since I finished that 15mm sci-fi structure. On the flip side, I have not spent a whole lot of money.
I did get Secrets of Wargame Design volumes 1 and 3 by Wally Simon. These are complications of newsletters written by said author from the 70s to early 2000s. Volume 3 is on solo gaming. I figured that I'd get volumes 1 & 3 and if they really knock my socks off, I'd get volume 2. To some up, they are OK, but not enough to really want to get volume 2. Some articles are seem useful, some not. Many of the useful ones were ideas that I've already known about. Like a lot of things, I probably need to re-read the articles again, I might get more out of them a second time around.
